Mini Off was inspired by the noise levels found in nursery schools and the need for a safer environment for children. The designers discovered a new material called Lanisor, which not only has excellent sound absorption properties but is also lightweight and easy to work with. This material became the foundation for Mini Off, providing a solution to minimize noise while ensuring the safety and comfort of children.

The unique properties of Mini Off lie in its acoustic material, which is both lightweight and comfortable. This makes it ideal for children to use and move around without difficulty. The furniture is designed to be placed in nursery schools, where it can effectively minimize the noise levels in the room. Its primary purpose is to create a quieter and more peaceful environment for children to learn and play.

Mini Off is made using Lanisor, a specially designed acoustic material. The production process involves the use of computer-controlled machine centers to ensure precision and quality. The dimensions of the furniture are 2500mm x 1250mm, providing ample space for children to sit, play, and interact.

The key feature of Mini Off is its acoustic properties. Noise penetrates the Lanisor surface and diffuses within the material. The friction on the fiber surfaces dissipates the kinetic energy of the noise as heat energy, resulting in a significant reduction in noise levels. The highly-compressed fibers enhance this effect, making Mini Off more effective than conventional materials.

Mini Off is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. Its sleek design and softness contribute to the overall comfort and security of children. In case of any accidents or collisions, the lightweight and soft material ensures minimal pain or injury.

The Mini Off project began in January 2017 and is currently in the prototype phase. The designers, Miguel Ángel Sánchez and Gloria Lozano, have conducted extensive research in the field of acoustic projects and identified a lack of acoustic solutions in the realm of furniture and lining. Mini Off aims to fill this gap and provide a practical and innovative solution for public environments.

Mini Off has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2017. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and technical excellence.
